Red-throated Ant-Tanager

The Red-Throated Ant Tanager (Habia fuscicauda) inhabits from the Southeast part of Mexico to East Panama. It is also called Dusky-tailed and Ant-Tanager. Lives in thicket growth along forests edges, in banks of streams and rivers, plantations, and shady second growth. Its measures are 19 cm (7 inches) in height and 40 g in weight.

With the center of the crown bright red, rest of upperparts dark dusky-red, shading to bright scarlet on throat. Bill blackish and legs dusky to gray. It feeds on insects and fruits.
