Black-faced Grosbeak

The Black-Faced Grosbeak (Caryothraustes poliogaster) lives from South-eastern Mexico to Eastern Panama. They inhabit in the Caribbean slopes, at 1000 meters above sea, in shrubs or trees. Its measures are 16 cm (6 inches) in height and 30 g in weight.

Adults have a head, neck and breast, the rump and belly are gray. Bill black, and back, wings and tail olive. This bird lives in flocks of 20 and feeds on seeds, nectar of flowers and insects like beetles, and caterpillars.
